About the Band

Local popular singer Tony Lee partnered with guitar player/songwriter Jim Nisted in early 2024 to form the JT Corral Band. The JT Corral Band specializes in 90s through current country-based dance music, focusing on fueling the energy flowing between the dance floor and the stage. Veteran bass player/vocalist Cheryl Stevens and pro drummer Monique Bera add their musical stylings to the band, rounding out their sound.

The JT Corral Band has built and continues to draw a loyal following of enthusiastic dancers to venues across the valley. The difference the JT Corral Band brings, is a commitment to their audience to provide the music they want to dance to – not just what is getting airplay or what musicians enjoy playing.

With the support and guidance of three professional dance instructors, the JT Corral Band continues to steadily build its following and expects to expand this musical business model rapidly. Having fine-tuned their show, the JT Corral Band is ready to expand to more and larger venues. Bringing the energy of our dancers and music to your venue now!

Tony Lee - Lead Singer

Tony began his musical journey in Benton, KS listening to KFDI Country radio with his father while working on cars. Watching Hee Haw and other country music shows inspired Tony to sing in Choir during grade school. Tony’s passion for performing eventually motivated him to start his own Karaoke company where he honed his vocal skills singing 6 nights a week. Tony moved to Arizona in the 90’s, began sitting in with several of the local country acts, and learned to play the acoustic guitar. During one of these shows the club owner hired him for a solo country act. From that point on Tony never looked back, and steadily increased his loyal fan base. Currently Tony passionately sings lead vocals for the JT Corral Band delivering emotive performances fans have compared to Toby Keith, George Strait, and Alan Jackson.

Jim Nisted - Guitarist

Jim inherited his love of music watching his father’s family band rehearse in their Denver home to open for national acts on the Rocky Mountain Jamboree in the 60’s. Jim played horns in school bands, transitioning to guitar at around 18. Jim developed a passion for writing music and lyrics in the 80’s, moved to Nashville to hone his writing skills, and has since enjoyed moderate regional success. Currently Jim plays lead guitar and shares vocals in the JT Corral Band, passionately performing for people who love to dance and share the energy of music.

Cheryl Stevens - Bassist

Cheryl is an accomplished musician from Cleveland who has been singing and playing both guitar and bass for over 30 years. As a music major at Kent State University, she’s performed in shows as both a vocal soloist, solo guitarist and as a member of several ensembles. Upon graduation she joined 90 West who quickly became a prominent cover band playing local clubs throughout Ohio and Michigan. She’s participated in several benefit shows for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and most recently has been performing in a successful duo - Take 2. She’s excited to be a part of JT’s Corral playing great dance songs for people to kick up their heels and have some fun!

Monique Bera - Drummer

Monique started playing the drums at the age of 5 and has been banging out her own beats ever since. Decades later, her passion for drumming, which has always driven her, shows no signs of slowing down. Whether on stage or in the studio, Monique is at ease. Her positive personality, musicianship, professionalism, dedication, and love for music fuel her passion. She believes that music is the purest form of self-expression.
